An AI Receptionist can help with supported appointment requests when the workflow is configured for your business. It can help book, reschedule, or cancel appointments while checking the rules and availability that should govern the request.
What happens when someone asks for an appointment?
A supported request can follow a connected workflow:
- The AI Receptionist understands the caller's request using available context.
- The appointment workflow checks business hours and available time slots.
- The request is matched to the right Lead or Client when that relationship is available.
- The appointment is created, rescheduled, or cancelled when the requested action is supported.
- The resulting activity remains visible to the office.
Not every call follows every step. The available options depend on the business setup, the request, and the information that can be verified.
How availability and conflicts are handled
Appointment workflows use configured business hours and availability checks before supported actions are completed. This helps the office work from the same scheduling rules and reduces avoidable conflicts. The workflow is not a promise that every request can be accepted; staff can still handle exceptions or situations outside the configured setup.
How Google Calendar fits in
Where enabled for the workspace, Google Calendar can be connected and the appropriate calendar selected so supported appointment activity stays synchronized with the business calendar workflow. Luntive does not require every workspace to use the same calendar setup.
This does not include automatic generation or delivery of virtual meeting links.
What remains under team control?
The team controls the business rules and connected calendar setup. Staff can review activity, step in when a request needs judgment, and use the relevant Lead or Client context to understand what happened.
